BIOGRAPHY

My name is Kendall Dodson, I am twenty years old and was raised in Dallas, Texas. I began dancing at the age of three. I trained at a studio called KJ Dance where I gained a lot of professional experience with teachers such as Jonathan Campbell and Martha Nichols as well as many others that encouraged me to want to pursue a dance career.

I graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 2017. Being surrounded by a community that is full of art and rich with opportunities also supported my dream of dancing. At Booker T., I had the

opportunity to perform works by Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Sidra Bell, Takehiro Euyama, Robert Battle, Fransisco Gella, Andy Noble and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. Working with these professional artists in high school has broadened my horizons to many different styles that I will be exposed to in the professional world. Crystal Pite and her company Kidd Pivot have been a big influence on the type of movement that I enjoy and hope to do in the future.
